How to obtain information from us

We hold personal information relating to you, for the purposes of arranging and administering Liability insurance policies.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the information we hold about you is accurate and up to date, so please ensure you inform of us of any changes.

How we collect and use your information, and who we share it with

When you enter your information on our website, it is captured and used by our servers to produce a quotation with our insurer.

We will also use your information to arrange and administer your insurance policy, including the handling of claims. This will also include disclosing it to the insurer.

We may also share your information with other sections of our company for the purposes of:

Detection and prevention of crime
Recovery of debt
Assessing risks
Understanding our customers demands and needs
Developing our relation with our customers
Staff training

We will not share you information outside of our company, accept where:

Where the law requires us to do so
Where you have permitted us to do so
To other insurers who provide a service or policy to you

Fraud Detection, Protection and Claims History

If false, inaccurate or misleading information is provided, and if fraud is identified, details of this will be passed to Fraud Prevention Agencies.

Law enforcement agencies also have access to this information.

When checking details on applications for credit and other facilities

How we protect your information

Our website is provided by ADM Networks, and runs the industry standard 128 bit Single Socket Layer technology, which is a secure link that encrypts and protects information.

We also take appropriate precautions & measures to guard against un-authorised amendment, access, or deletion of data. We conduct ongoing assessments of our security measures and have high levels of physical security at our offices.

Access to information is restricted to authorised personnel only, who are bound by contract (and the threat of dismissal and criminal prosecution) to uphold our security requirements and ethics.

Cookies

When you use our website we may attach a small file to your browser, commonly known as a Cookie. These files allow our website to recognise your computer when you visit again, and are also used by us to monitor usage and compile data, in order that we may improve out service to you.

Cookies do not disclose any personal data, and are used simply to analyse and track usage of our website (such as time & date of visit, number of visits, type of browser, etc) as well as retaining your username and password.

Our website is for the use of an individual or business only, for the purposes of obtaining quotations and cover in respect of Liability Insurance.

If a person or company uses our website for unauthorised commercial purposes, we withhold the right to take legal action.

Such unauthorised purposes include: copyright theft, processing of quotations for other companies or customers, and other companies using the website to compare quotations against their own prices.

Intellectual Property

All material contained in this website is our property, or licensed to us. This includes all intellectual rights, logos, trademarks, trading & business names. Our website is protected by international copyright law.

We permit you to download, print or otherwise access the information contained in our website for your personal needs and requirements. However:

You are not permitted to alter, amend or change the information in any way
You are not permitted to use the information for any trade or commercial purposes, including advertising
You are not permitted to use our logos or trademarks without our permission
You are not permitted to state, confirm, pass off or acknowledge the material as your own in any way

Failure to abide by these terms will result it termination of your access to our website, and may lead to prosecution.

Technological Attacks & Viruses

It is an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 to knowingly attempt to infect a website, database or server through the use of viruses, Trojans, malware, or other malicious or damaging software. It is also an offence to attempt to gain unauthorised access (hacking) to a website, database or server.

Any such attempt will be reported to the relevant authorities and could result in criminal prosecution. We will co-operate with the authorities by disclosing your personal information to them.

Unsolicited Emails

During the course of providing a quotation, arranging cover and administering your policy (and any claims), we may contact you by email. We may also from time to time send you emails regarding other products or services we provide.

If you prefer not to receive emails from us, please let us know. However, this will mean that we will be unable to provide you with documents at the point of sale, and will have to rely on Royal Mail post which will take considerably longer. If you choose to have printed documents sent to you, an additional charge of £5.00 will apply in respect of printing and postage costs.

We will not pass your email address to any other company or entity, other than for the purpose of arranging and administering your policy.
